Neodymium (Rare Earth) NdFeB Self-Adhesive Disc Magnets

The adhesive layer is a 3M adhesive with a protective backing - simply remove the protective backing and press the adhesive backed neodymium magnet onto the item you are attaching. Using self-adhesive magnets to attract ferromagnetic surfaces
When using magnets to attract ferromagnetic surfaces such as mild steel, you can use any of the NdFeB backed disc magnets (you can use all South or all North, or even a combination - it doesn't matter). Sometimes, if the magnets are close enough to each other, you may consider using alternate north and south orientations, as this may improve performance slightly (as the magnets interact in a positive way, attracting and pulling on each other's fields).
The north version of the neodymium self-adhesive magnets will have the same performance as the south version of the sticky disc magnets of the same size. The neodymium magnets will either attract or repel each other, depending on how the magnets are placed relative to each other. For attraction, you need the north pole side on one magnet to point towards the south pole side on the other magnet (following the magnetic rule of opposite-pole attraction). If one north faces the other north or one south faces the other south, then you have similar poles, which means repulsion.
In some applications, the magnets are hidden (for example, magnets are adhered to a card and then the card is folded to hide the magnets, resulting in the poles being flipped as well). Therefore, knowing how you want the magnets to be placed in the final assembly may affect the polarity of the magnets you require. NdFeB self-adhesive disc magnets are axially magnetised (the thickness of the disc is the distance between the north and south polar planes - the magnet is magnetised along the central axis).
